Institutional Background
Sunkuda Campus was established in response to the need for higher education in Bitthadchir Rural Municipality and the wider Bajhang area. Before 2064 BS, there was no higher education institution in the municipality, and many students had to travel to Kailali or Kanchanpur after completing SLC.
The campus was created as a community-based, non-profit institution for an educationally underserved area of Bajhang District. Its location in the southern part of Sunkuda Market gives students from the local community access to bachelor-level study within the district.

Academic Programs
Sunkuda Campus offers two bachelor-level programs: Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Both are four-year full-time bachelor’s degree programs under Tribhuvan University.
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)
The Bachelor of Business Studies program is offered under the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. The BBS program is a four-year annual system program designed to build knowledge in business, administration, management, accounting, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, and research.
The program includes compulsory courses, core business courses, concentration courses, business research methods, and final project work. In the fourth year, students focus on a concentration area such as accounting, finance, management, or marketing.
Eligibility: Candidates applying for BBS must have completed 10+2 in business or commerce, or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board, Tribhuvan University, or another university or board recognized by Tribhuvan University. Candidates must also meet other entry requirements prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus.
Evaluation: The final evaluation is conducted through the annual examination of Tribhuvan University’s Office of the Controller of Examinations. Students must meet the minimum attendance requirement to appear in the annual examination.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
The Bachelor of Education program is a four-year annual system program under the Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University. It is a professional and academic program for students preparing for teaching-related academic pathways.
The B.Ed. structure includes communication skills, professional core courses, specialization major courses, specialization minor courses, and teaching internship or practicum. Students must complete 22 courses with a total of 2200 full marks to earn the Four-Year B.Ed. degree.
Students select one specialization major and one different specialization minor. The available major areas include Nepali Language Education, English Language Education, Math Education, Science Education, Health and Physical Education, Population Education, Geography Education, Economics Education, History Education, and Political Science Education.
Eligibility: Students with Higher Secondary Education Examination Pass Certificate, Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University, or an equivalent Grade 12 qualification are eligible for admission to the B.Ed. program. Subject-specific requirements apply for different specialization areas.
