Overview
Thalara Multiple Campus (थलारा बहुमुखी क्याम्पस) is a community-owned campus located at Thalara Rural Municipality-5, Kholi, Bajhang, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal. Established in 2007 AD (2064 BS), the campus is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) and recognized by the University Grants Commission of Nepal.
The campus was established to help students of the Thalara area continue higher education near home. In Bajhang, a remote Himalayan district where access to education, health, communication, transportation, and other development infrastructure has remained limited, Thalara Multiple Campus has served as a local option for bachelor-level study.

Campus Background
Thalara Multiple Campus is located in Thalara Rural Municipality of Bajhang District, an area associated with the historic Thalara State. The campus was founded in 2064 BS through the initiative of social workers, education supporters, intellectuals, teachers, guardians, and concerned local people.
Its establishment addressed a clear local need. Students from the area previously had to leave home for higher education, which created difficulty for many families. The campus has helped local students pursue bachelor-level education while remaining connected to their community.
Students from Dalit, Chhetri, and Brahmin communities live in the area, and the campus has also served some students from outside Thalara.
Academic Program
Thalara Multiple Campus offers the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program under Tribhuvan University. The program is a four-year full-time bachelor degree in Education.
Tribhuvan University had earlier conducted a three-year Bachelor’s Degree program in Education from 1996, which was later extended to a four-year structure. The current B.Ed. program is both academic and professional in nature, with a focus on preparing capable teachers for Nepal’s school education system.
The program includes education foundations, language study, major and minor subjects, educational psychology, curriculum and evaluation, teaching methods, information and communication technology in education, project and research work, education in contemporary Nepal, teaching practice, and professional development. Students study one major subject and one minor subject from subjects available under Education.
Campus Policy and Student Conduct
Thalara Multiple Campus follows rules intended to maintain a peaceful, disciplined, and respectful academic environment. Students are expected to attend classes at the stated time and help protect campus property and cleanliness.
Students must follow library and laboratory rules. The consumption of intoxicating substances and smoking are completely prohibited within the campus environment.
The student code of conduct emphasizes respect, harmony, inclusive behavior, academic honesty, and responsible conduct. Ragging and misconduct are subject to strict action. Students must follow the campus dress code and identity card rules. Activities that harm the dignity and reputation of the campus are not allowed.
Campus Leadership
Jiwan Kumar Rokaya serves as the Campus Chief of Thalara Multiple Campus. The campus leadership has expressed a focus on education, student knowledge, skills, and morality while working within the challenges of a remote area.
The campus also aims to continue student development through new educational methods. Its institutional aim includes establishing the campus as a constituent campus of Sudurpashchim University.
