Overview
Bhanubhakta Memorial College in Panipokhari, Kathmandu offers a Ten Plus Two (+2) in Science program, which is affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB) of Nepal. The program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in science and mathematics, preparing them for higher education in various fields of science and technology.
The college has well-equipped and spacious science laboratories, which have been designed in 3 separate halls by the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB). The classrooms are also well-planned and have a comfortable seating arrangement, with a limited number of students in each class. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields, and they provide a supportive learning environment to the students.
To be eligible for admission to the +2 Science program, students must have completed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examination or an equivalent examination under a recognized board. In addition, they should have taken optional mathematics for the SLC examination and scored a minimum of 210 in science, compulsory mathematics, and English.
The program includes compulsory subjects such as English, Nepali, and Social Studies, along with Science and Mathematics. The college also provides extra-curricular activities to promote the hidden talents of the students, such as talent shows, sports weeks, and freshers' welcome events. The students are also provided with email and internet facilities, a well-equipped library, and personal counseling for those who are academically weak or suffering from family stress and mental disturbances.
Upon completion of the program, students are awarded the National Examinations Board (NEB) certificate, which is recognized by the Government of Nepal and is accepted by various universities and educational institutions in Nepal and abroad. This program provides a strong foundation for further studies in science and technology-related fields, and prepares students for various career options such as engineering, medicine, pharmacy, and other science-related professions.
