The concentration areas offered in the fourth year include Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing.
The BBS framework uses a combination of lectures, group discussions, problem-solving exercises, guest lectures, practical work, and project work. Case-based instruction may also be used where appropriate.
Final project work is a required part of the fourth year. Students complete field work for four weeks during the period fixed by the campus and prepare a project report in the prescribed format. The report may also be presented before the class or faculty members. Final project evaluation involves internal and external examiners, and the final viva-voce is conducted by the concerned research committee.
An academic year consists of a minimum of 150 teaching days. Students must maintain at least 70 percent attendance in the classes actually held to qualify for the annual examinations.
Final evaluation is conducted through the annual examination system under the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Tribhuvan University. The grading divisions are:
Third Division: 35 percent
Second Division: 45 percent
First Division: 60 percent
Distinction Division: 75 percent
For completion of the degree, students must successfully complete 19 courses carrying 1950 marks and submit a final project report of 50 marks, with passing grades in all required components, within the time limit prescribed by Tribhuvan University.
