‘Mala’ Story Collection Released
Writer Madhav Sayapatri’s new story collection “Mala” has been released. The book contains 22 stories. In this collection, Sayapatri brings together love and human sensitivity. He also tears off the masks of hypocrisy and ostentation, voicing rebellion.
The stories are written in a simple and plain style. Sayapatri’s stories can be regarded as representative of contemporary Nepali literature.
Author and Focus
Retired from the teaching profession, Sayapatri favors writing about people at the base of society. His stories reflect rural life. Women, children, the oppressed classes, and social and political distortions have remained his primary subjects.
