The sixth edition of 'Pokhara Sports Award 2078' is scheduled to be held on the 18th Ashad ( July 2, 2022), Saturday. It has been decided to hold the award program in the context of World Sports Journalists' Day from the third plenary meeting held at Pokhara Stadium under the chairmanship of Din Nath Baral, Chairman of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Gandaki. Secretary-General Poudel said that preparations will be intensified to make the program grand as soon as the date of Arwad is announced.
The meeting has decided to form the main organizing committee under the chairmanship of Din Nath Baral to make the award program more systematic. Likewise, Secretary-General Poudel said that a large gathering will be organized among the members of the forum on Jestha 28 (11th June 2022) to seek advice and suggestions to make the award program attractive.
Chairman Din Nath Baral said that cooperation was needed with all to make the award program grand.
"We are going to hold the award program to motivate the players who are moving forward in the field of sports. We will complete the award program with the support of all," said Chairman Baral. He urged all sports enthusiasts to support the award program which is the pride of Gandaki.
The forum will distribute Lifetime Achievement Award, Male Player of the Year, Female Player of the Year, Emerging Player, Outstanding Coach, Outstanding Sports Association, and Outstanding Sports Journalist through the program to be held at Pokhara Assembly Hall.
An additional attraction of the award program will be the cultural program. Nepal Sports Journalists Forum is an organization of journalists writing on Gandaki sports bit. The forum has 56 journalists from Gandaki. The forum has been organizing award programs since 2073 BS.
