RAN to Organize AI for Good National Competition 2026
Kathmandu. The Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) is set to organize the AI for Good National Competition 2026 under the global AI for Good initiative. It has been stated that the official theme of the competition will be unveiled on 22 April 2026, marking its formal national launch.
The main competition will be held from 24 -26 April 2026. The primary objective of this national competition is to inspire young talents from across the country to develop innovative and creative solutions to real-world challenges through the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
Last year, Nepal delivered an outstanding performance in the international edition of this competition held in Geneva, Switzerland. Among 35 participating countries, Nepal secured second place in the junior category and third place in the senior category.
This program is part of the global AI for Good platform led by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with more than 40 United Nations partner organizations. In Nepal, this initiative is being led by the Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) as the national partner.
It is believed that this competition will provide Nepali youth with an international-level platform in the field of technology and encourage them to work for social good through AI. It is also expected to motivate young participants to engage with emerging future skills in the age of AI.
