Yogini Cup Inter-Club Volleyball Tournament to be Held in Khajura, Banke:

According to the organizers, preparations for the Yogini Cup Inter-Club Volleyball Tournament to be held in Khajura Rural Municipality of Banke are in full swing.

The competition is being held in the first week of January at Khajura Rural Municipality-2, Gaughat. The Banke District Volleyball Association has provided technical assistance in the competition which is being jointly organized by Rangsala Nepal Media Pvt. Ltd. and Yogini Youth Club. Chairman Thapa said that the competition is being conducted with the objective of producing volleyball players from the community level.

Stating that Gaughat area is a famous village for playing volleyball, Thapa said, "Volleyball is about to start again in Gaughat area." Thapa said that 10 teams are expected to participate in the competition.

The first-place team will get Rs 20,000 in cash, the runner-up will get Rs 10,000, a medal trophy, and a certificate.

There is a cash prize of Rs 3,000, a medal trophy and a certificate for the best player in the game. In addition, the best departmental players will get one thousand, medal trophy and certificate.

President of the Banke District Volleyball Association TS Thakuri, who was present at the event, said that the association and individuals would provide support and advice for the tournament. Thakuri stressed the need for continuity of volleyball competition.

‘For the first time, Yogini Club and Rangshala Nepal Media are organizing a volleyball tournament. Many competitions in Banke have not been able to get continuity. But let this volleyball competition continue. For which, there will always be support and advice from the association and me, 'said Thakuri.

Patron of the competition Umesh Niraula said that the Yogini Cup would also play an important role in the social development of the region through sports. He said, ‘The club did social work even during the lockdown. Now it is preparing to hold a sports competition. This will add more energy to the youth. ’
