Public Service Commission Pokhara Announces Revised Schedule and Venue for Section Officer Examination

The Public Service Commission (PSC), Pokhara Office, overseeing the Pokhara and Baglung regions, has released a revised schedule and new venues for the upcoming Section Officer (Non-Technical) post's second phase written examination. This crucial update aims to ensure a smooth and fair examination process, accommodating administrative constraints and maintaining stringent health safety measures amidst the ongoing pandemic.

Updated Examination Centers and Timings

The examination for candidates clearing the first phase in Pokhara will now be conducted in Pokhara itself, while those who passed in Hetauda will have their examination in Hetauda. The modifications in the schedule and the corresponding subjects are:

  • Governance Systems: 2080/04/25 at 2:00 PM
  • Contemporary Issues: 2080/04/26 at 2:00 PM
  • Service-Related Subjects (Only for Administration, Auditing, and Federal Parliamentary Service): 2080/04/27 at 2:00 PM
  • English Language (Only for Foreign Affair Service): 2080/04/28 at 2:00 PM
  • Foreign Policy & International Relations (Only for Foreign Affair Service): 2080/04/29 at 2:00 PM

Candidates should aim to arrive at their designated examination center at least one hour prior to the commencement of the examination.

Essential Exam Guidelines

PSC has outlined some key guidelines to ensure that the examination process runs efficiently:

  • No rescheduling will be allowed unless notified by the Commission.
  • Black ink is the only permissible writing tool during the examination.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to change their examination center to Dipayal.
  • Bags, mobile phones, and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited within the examination hall.
  • Candidates must carry their admit card and a government-issued photo identity card or citizenship. Entry will be denied without these.

COVID-19 Safety Regulations

In the context of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, PSC has issued a series of safety instructions for the candidates:

  • Candidates must bring their masks, sanitizers, and drinking water.
  • All instructions given by the examination center staff must be strictly followed.
  • Social distancing protocols need to be adhered to.
  • Group conversations or gatherings are strictly disallowed.
