Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (Nepali: मिथिला लघुवित्त वित्तीय संस्था लि.) was established on 2065 Manshir 8 (2008 November 23, Sunday), registered in the office of the Registrar of Companies, as per the Companies Act, 2063. The poor and marginalized women are playing an important role in providing financial services by providing micro-finance services.

The Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has been currently 15 districts in operation, Such as Saptari, Siraha, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sindhuli, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Vara, Udaipur, Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchok, Nuwakot and Dolakha districts were operated in 31 of all 15 districts.

The main objective of Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited is to increase their participation in economic and social activities by disbursing loans without collateral on a collective guarantee to raise the rural families living economically very hard. The Bank will always emphasize achieving its purpose by encouraging them to engage in income-generating work of members and herds without discriminating on the basis of caste, religion, gender and political beliefs.

Vision:

The bank envisages developing a bank as a viable and competent microfinance development bank for the upliftment of the poor women living in rural areas by investing in group mortgages and providing other financial services.

  • To provide easily accessible banking services to people living below the poverty line.
  • To raise social, economic and community awareness among rural poor women through training and community development programs.
  • To make the rural economy efficient and affordable by maximizing the available labor, skills and resources and capital available in the rural areas.
  • Increase their participation in economic and social activities by distributing loans to women in rural areas without collateralized collateral security.
  • Provide necessary credit to the poor people for promoting and conducting business in agriculture, trade, industry, etc. in rural areas.
