Overview

Shuklagandaki Municipality (Nepali: शुक्लगण्डकी नगरपालिका, तनहुँ) was established in 2014 and It’s headquarter is located in Dulegaunda, Tanahu District, Gandaki Province in Nepal. This municipality was formed on 18 May 2014. It was formed by merging three Village Development Committees (VDCs): Dhorphirdi VDC, Dulegaunda VDC, and Khairenitar VDC. Thaprek, Raipur and Phirphire VDC were also merged on 5th March 2017 to form this Shuklagandaki Municipality.

Dhorbarahi is one of the most famous goddess temples, which is located in just a few kilometers (Km) far away from Dhorphirdi. There are Several small famous Hindu temples are located in this Shuklagandaki municipality.

Prithvi Highway goes and several other small roadways are connected to the main cities like Dulegaunda, Khairenitar, and Kotre, etc. of Shuklagandaki Municipality. The total population of this municipality is 44,456 at the time of 2011 Nepal Census.
