
14th Senate Meeting Concludes with Budget and Program Approval
The 14th meeting of the Senate of Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) has approved a total budget of Rs 1.68 billion 93 lakh for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83.
The meeting took place today at the Prime Minister’s Residence in Baluwatar, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli.
Registrar Presented Budget and Program
The budget and program were presented by Registrar Prof. Dr. Pushkar Bahadur Pal and were formally approved during the session.
Focus on Academic Reform and Innovation
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sharda Thapaliya highlighted that the university has taken steps to advance in areas such as teaching and learning systems, examination reforms, research enhancement, quality assurance, and the establishment of a business incubation center.
Budget Approval Prior to New Fiscal Year
As per Chancellor Oli’s directive, universities are required to approve their budgets and programs through Senate meetings before the start of the new fiscal year. This initiative aims to ensure timely planning and execution.
Four Senate Meetings Completed, Two Remaining
On the same day, Senate meetings of four universities and institutions have been completed. The meetings for the remaining two universities have been scheduled for Wednesday.
