Ministry Requests Updated Details of Agri and Veterinary Staff

Kathmandu | February 7, 2026 [Magh 24, 2082 (BS)].

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has requested the submission of accurate details of agriculture and livestock service technicians, and agriculture graduates/veterinarians currently working at local levels across the country.

Issuing a public notice on February 6, 2026 [Magh 23, 2082 (BS)] (Friday), the Ministry stated that it wrote to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and requested coordination to collect the required details from all local levels.

The Ministry said the information is being sought to identify the status of technical human resources at local levels and to make upcoming program planning and budget management more effective.

It also stated that it is updating the statistics of agriculture graduate/veterinarian employees appointed and serving in contract positions under the conditionally transferred program at local levels, in line with the earlier “One Village Development Committee, One Technician” program and the current “Local Level Agriculture Graduate Technician Mobilization Procedure, 2082.”

In particular, details have been requested for employees who were appointed on contract to the Non-Gazetted Second Class Technical Assistant post to work in the former village development committees and who have since been adjusted to local levels and are continuing their service.

The Ministry further stated that detailed information on agriculture graduates and veterinarians appointed on contract at local levels under the conditionally transferred program, as per the approved procedure for the current fiscal year, must also be provided.

Information and documents required

The notice states that the following must be provided:

  • Employee name

  • Grade/class

  • Service group

  • Contact address

  • Copy of the employee’s appointment letter

  • Copy of the most recent contract agreement renewal

Submission deadline

The Ministry has requested that the details be provided by February 22, 2026 [Falgun 10, 2082 (BS)] to the email address of the Ministry’s Budget and Program Division.
