Aid Provided to Central Deaf Secondary School in Naxal

Educational materials have been provided to the Central Deaf Secondary School in Naxal. The support was provided from the proceeds of a charity campaign run through an art market by students of the Gwangmyeong School for the Visual Impaireds, located in Daegu.
Assistance Handed Over Through LUPIC Coordination
The assistance was handed over in coordination with the “Leading University Project for International Cooperation” (LUPIC) through Changwon National University of South Korea.
The items provided include:

Expected Contribution to Learning and Student Well-Being
LUPIC Director Prof. Dr. De Yung Jung said these resources are expected to contribute to improving access to digital learning, strengthening teaching capacity, and promoting physical activity for students with visual impairment.
Jung also said the assistance was provided with the objective of supplying educational and sports resources that directly support the learning environment and student well-being in schools in Nepal.
Background on the Supporting Institution
The Gwangmyeong School is one of Korea’s early institutions for the education of students with visual disability.
The institution was founded by Pastor Lee Young-sik.
It is active in advancing educational rights, independence, and social participation for persons with visual disability.
Fundraising and Student Participation
LUPIC Manager Kim Yunyoung said the LUPIC project facilitates international educational solidarity.
The funds were raised through the sale of artworks created by students, reflecting active student participation and a commitment to sharing the value of education beyond national borders.
