Badimalika Secondary School Ranked Best in Karnali

Badimalika Secondary School, located in Raskot Municipality of Kalikot, has been recognized as the best school in Karnali Province.

The recognition was awarded through an evaluation conducted by a dedicated committee established under the Principals’ Association of Nepal (PAN).

Awarded During PAN’s Annual Event

Each year, PAN honors selected community schools for their work. This year, during its annual gathering, Badimalika was chosen for its outstanding contribution to education in Karnali.

Judged Across 25 Areas

To ensure fair selection, schools were assessed based on 25 specific categories.

Noted educationist Prof. Dr. Bidhanath Koirala led the evaluation team. After reviewing schools across the province, Badimalika stood out for its consistent efforts and overall impact.

Principal Shares the Story Behind the Success

Principal Pushparaj Baral said this award feels like a valid reward for the challenges they’ve faced and the hard work the entire school has put in.

“We didn’t have it easy,” he explained. “Running a school while dealing with political interference, unexpected transfers, and external pressure made things difficult. But our teachers, staff, and school management stayed committed. That’s what led to this recognition.”

Motivation for the Road Ahead

According to Baral, the award is not just an acknowledgment—it’s a source of fresh energy.

“Knowing that our work has been seen and appreciated gives us more confidence to keep improving,” he said. “We’ll keep doing our best for our students and our community, no matter the obstacles.”

Despite frequent disruptions from municipal authorities and changes in teaching staff, the school pushed forward, staying focused on strengthening its educational quality. That commitment has now been recognized across the province.
