The National Examination Board (NEB) is preparing to send the printed question papers of class 12 to the districts where internet service is not fully operational and where there are internet problems.

Seven months after the postponement, it is preparing to send printed question papers of class 12 to the Himalayan and some hilly districts of Karnali, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Province for the upcoming exams.

Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel said that preparations are being made to send the printed question papers to about 25 district centers. The provincial examination office of the board will decide which centers to send to.

NEB is preparing to print and send question papers to Jumla, Humla, Kalikot, Mugu, Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, Bajura, Jajarkot, Bajhanga, and other districts. It is preparing to send question papers via email before the exams start in other districts.

The exam will be held for one and a half hours from 8 am to 9:30 am (From 2077 Mangsir 9 to 16). In the working procedure prepared by the board, the subject teacher has made an arrangement to test the answer book and send the number. The board has already sent the answer scripts to all the provincial offices. "Now it is the job of the province office to send them to the examination center," said Poudel, chairman of the board.

The board has stated that the students who have seen corona infection in the examination will be examined from a separate room. The notice issued by the board states, "Candidates undergoing treatment for Covid-19 infection are requested to participate in the examination."

All the students participating in the examination must use masks and sanitizers, health desks must be kept in all the centers, and thermal guns must be tested before entering the center.

Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Poudel said that health materials including health desks should be kept in each center in coordination with the local level. The board had a meeting with the top officials of all three security agencies on Tuesday. Officials from all three security agencies said they would provide full security during the exams.

This year only 40 percent marks are being examined. Out of the remaining 60 percent, 40 percent marks will be added from the internal assessment of class 11, and 20 percent marks from class 12, the board has formulated the procedure. It has been stated that the question papers of the examination will be prepared in the old format.

Provision has been made to add 40 percent marks to the assessment of class 12 by considering the thematic marks obtained in the theoretical side in the annual or grade increment examination of class 11 as 100 percent.

The weightage of the internal evaluation has been prepared in the procedure of 20 percent by considering the total integer as 100 percent.

About 426,000 students will participate in the class 12 exam. Controller of Examinations of the Board Krishna Prasad Sharma informed that the examination will be held in 4,105 schools.
