Equipment Support Provided to Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus Library in Baglung
A businessman, Nabin Regmi, has supported the library of Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus in Baglung by donating various equipment.
Regmi, whose permanent home is Melkot, Ward No. 2 of Galkot Municipality, and who currently resides in Osaka, Japan, provided a water purification machine worth NPR 100,000, a barcode scanner machine, an internet router, and a telephone set.
Regmi stated that he donated the items in memory of his father Ramprasad Regmi and mother Masina Regmi, so that readers and staff visiting the library would find it easier to access services.
Due to the absence of equipment such as a water purification machine, barcode scanner machine, internet router, and telephone set, it had been difficult to provide services to readers visiting the library. After the problem was shared with Regmi, he provided equipment worth NPR 100,000 in memory of his parents, informed Kalpana Regmi, Head of the Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus Library.
The library receives around 10 to 15 readers daily who come to study books and newspapers. More than 100 students borrow books daily to take home for study.
The campus library stated that books worth NPR 50,000 are available in the library, and the library operates from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Campus Chief Associate Professor Dr. Sudarshan Silwal stated that, to attract students and general readers toward reading and learning, the campus has made the library technology-friendly by installing 25 computers and arranging a system through software so that users can also study digitally.
