
Halesi Municipality Honors Top SEE and Annual Exam Performers
Halesi Tuwachung Municipality, Khotang has awarded cash prizes to students and schools who achieved top positions in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and various grade-level exams.
As part of its commitment to improving education in community schools, the municipality recognized students who secured the highest GPA in the SEE and in municipal-level annual exams held from Grades 4 to 9 during the academic year 2081.
Top Achievers in SEE Receive Recognition
Municipal spokesperson and Ward No. 7 Chairperson Kamal Giri informed that NPR 50,000 was awarded to students who secured the top GPA in the SEE. Second-place students received NPR 25,000.
Among the boys:

Ganesh Kumar Dahal from Laxmi Secondary School, Badahare, secured the first position with a GPA of 3.53.

Sonam Rai from Chyasmittar Secondary School came second with a GPA of 3.34.
Among the girls:

Durga Kumari Katwal (Laxmi Secondary School, Badahare) and Jenisha Shrestha (Saraswati Secondary School, Arkhaule) both scored a GPA of 3.31 and shared the first position.

Swastika Rai from Mahendrodaya Secondary School, Mahadevsthan, was placed second with a GPA of 3.29.

Students who secured the first and second positions in municipal-level annual exams were awarded NPR 10,000 and NPR 5,000, respectively.

Award Ceremony and Additional Programs
The awards were handed over by key officials, including District Coordination Committee Chairperson Sun Bahadur Rai, Deputy Chairperson Suresh Kumar Tamang, Mayor Bimala Rai, Deputy Mayor Ramesh Kumar Raut, and Chief District Officer Narahari Ghimire.
On the same day, the municipality hosted a joint event. The event included the declaration of the municipality as fully vaccinated and sustainable, the cash prize distribution ceremony, and the handover of a traditional Panchai Baja set to the Halesi Temple Management Committee.
