Health Insurance Renewal Deadline and Penalty Notice
Nepal Government, Health Insurance Board, Babarmahal, Kathmandu, Urgent Notice Regarding Additional Delay Charges for Health Insurance Renewal.
The Health Insurance Board has arranged that families insured under the Nepal Government’s Health Insurance Program, who have not renewed their insurance in recent years, can renew their insurance by the end of Ashoj 2082 without incurring any additional charges.
Insured families are requested to compulsorily renew their health insurance through the online system (E-sewa, Connect IPS, Khalti) or through registered facilitators by 2082/06/31.
After this period (once expired), families renewing their insurance will be required to pay additional delay charges as follows:
Penalty Schedule

If renewed within three months after expiry: An additional 10% of the contribution amount.

If renewed within six months after expiry: An additional 30% of the contribution amount.

If renewed within one year after expiry: An additional 50% of the contribution amount.

If renewed after one year: An additional 100% of the contribution amount.

If renewed after two years: An amount equal to three times the contribution.

If renewed after three years: An amount equal to four times the contribution.
