Intensified School Admission Drive in Saptari District to Improve Community Schools
The start of the new academic session in public schools of Saptari district has brought a renewed focus on the improvement of community schools. The ongoing school admission campaign has received a positive response from parents who are excited to enroll their children.
According to Rajdev Yadav, Head of District Education Coordinating Unit Saptari, the school admission campaign is given top priority among various programs for the improvement of community schools. The campaign has been effective in increasing the attraction of parents towards public schools compared to previous years.
To address public complaints towards community schools, the education branch at the local level is making teaching work effective through monitoring. Devkumar Yadav, Head of the Education Branch of Mahadeva Rural Municipality, suggested making the school a banner with the slogan of timely enrollment, timely knowledge, and quality education for all. He also requested teachers, students, school management committees, and ward-level public representatives to pledge to provide quality education in community schools from door to door in the school area.
Nagendra Prasad Singh, the headmaster of Shri Nar Bahadur Thapa Janata Secondary School, Pakri Goth Sonara, located in Mahadeva Gapa-1, said that the school admission campaign has brought positive results. Parents who had enrolled their children in private boarding schools are now enrolling them in public schools. Teachers have promised to provide quality education to the children. Students and parents are happy after the textbooks were distributed on time this year.
The intensified school admission drive is expected to bring more students to public schools and improve the quality of education in community schools in Saptari district.
