Salary Increase for ECD Teachers and School Staff from Shrawan 2082
Starting from Shrawan 2082, the monthly salaries of Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers, school staff, and school assistants will be increased. This adjustment follows the government's conditional grant increment announced in the budget for the fiscal year 2082/083.
Conditional Grant Increase by the Federal Government
The Education and Human Resource Development Center has issued a circular to all local governments, confirming the rise in remuneration based on the federal government’s updated policy.
As per the fiscal budget, the government allocated a total of NPR 10.16 billion to increase the conditional grants distributed for the salaries of ECD facilitators and school staff working in community schools.
Revised Monthly Salaries
With this budget implementation from Shrawan:

ECD teachers will receive NPR 12,000 per month

Accountants will receive NPR 15,000 per month

School assistants will receive NPR 10,000 per month
This increase falls under the conditional grant financial transfer subheading in the Ministry of Education’s budget.
Previous Salary Rates and Increment

ECD teachers previously received NPR 10,000 from the federal government. This amount will now be raised by NPR 2,000, making it NPR 12,000 monthly.

Accountants who were receiving NPR 13,500 will now receive NPR 15,000.

Office assistants previously earning NPR 8,000 will now receive NPR 10,000.
Local Government Contributions
In addition to the federal grants, local governments have also been contributing extra allowances. Presently, an additional NPR 7,000 is provided by local levels on top of the federal amount.
