Judicial Service Commission Recommends Promotions and Transfers
The Judicial Service Commission has recommended the promotion and placement of two officers to the Special Class (Secretary) level. The Commission’s meeting decided to promote and assign Joint Secretary Jitendra Babu Thapaliya and Acting Deputy Attorney General Uddhav Prasad Poudel to new positions.
Following the Commission’s recommendation, the Council of Ministers will now proceed with the appointment process.
Promotions and New Postings
According to the Commission’s decision, Jitendra Babu Thapaliya has been recommended for appointment as Secretary at the Judicial Council. Likewise, Uddhav Prasad Poudel has been recommended for the position of Secretary at the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
The current Secretary of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons, Surya Raj Dahal, has been transferred to the Office of the Attorney General.
Transfers Within the Attorney General’s Office
The Commission has also transferred Deputy Attorney General Somkant Bhandari from the High Government Attorney Office in Butwal to the Office of the Attorney General. To fill his previous post, Deputy Attorney General Sandesh Shrestha will be assigned to the Butwal office.
Large-Scale Transfers in the Judicial and Legal Groups
The Commission has transferred 144 Section Officers from the Judicial Group at once. Those transferred include Bench Officers from various High Court benches and Revenue Officers working in District Courts.
Additionally, seven Law Officers from the Law Group and 33 officials from the Government Attorney Group have also been transferred.
Furthermore, the Commission has appointed and posted 52 new Section Officers in the Judicial Group, 14 in the Law Group, and 15 in the Government Attorney Group.
Recommendation for Tribunal Appointment
The Commission has also decided to recommend Deputy Attorney General Ghanshyam Ojha, who is currently serving at the Office of the Attorney General, for appointment as a member of the Foreign Employment Tribunal.
