PSC Completes First Phase Exam for Section Officer Post Nationwide

The Public Service Commission (PSC - Lok Sewa Aayog) conducted the first phase preliminary examination nationwide for the Section Officer or equivalent (Non-Technical) post. The Commission stated that candidate participation was encouraging across examination centers.
The examination was conducted for Gazetted Third Class posts under the open and inclusive categories, as per the Central Office Advertisement Nos. 16701–16707/2082–83. The test was held under the joint and integrated examination system on Magh 24, 2082 (BS).
Out of a total of 27,017 applicants, 86.94 percent (23,489 candidates) appeared in the examination. The PSC reported attendance of 89.97 percent (11,644 candidates) within the Kathmandu Valley and 84.16 percent (11,845 candidates) outside the Valley.
The Commission stated that answer sheets will be evaluated using Optical Mark Reader (OMR) technology, and it aims to publish the result within 15 days of the examination. According to PSC Under Secretary and Spokesperson Purushottam Sharma, the examination was conducted peacefully across the country.
