PU-LUPIC SNE IT Coding Challenge Held in Biratnagar

PU and LUPIC Hold SNE IT Coding Challenge in Biratnagar

An “IT Technology for Special Education with Coding Challenge” competition has been concluded in Biratnagar through collaboration between Purbanchal University (PU) and South Korea’s Leading University Project International Cooperation (LUPIC).

The competition was held on Tuesday at Janata Adarsha Multiple Campus in Biratnagar. Students studying “Special Needs Education (SNE)” participated in the event.

Objective of the Program

The main objective of the program was to connect SNE students with information technology (IT).

SNE as a Major Subject Since 2020

According to Campus Chief and Director Mahesh Niraula, under an agreement with LUPIC since 2020, “Education for Children with Special Needs” has been taught as a major subject at the bachelor’s level.

Students of the first batch in this subject have already appeared in the final examination of the four-year program.

Training Support and Competition Format

To enhance students’ capacity, IT expert professors from South Korea have been visiting the campus repeatedly to provide training.

In Tuesday’s coding challenge, participating students were divided into six groups and made to compete.

Cash Prizes and Key Presence

The winners received cash prizes from LUPIC Director Professor Jung and Professor Lee. LUPIC Nepal Manager Kim Eunyong was also specially present at the program.
