Resunga Municipality Honors Schools, Teachers, and Students

Resunga Municipality of Gulmi district has honored outstanding schools, teachers, and students. The municipality recognized those who delivered excellent results in the education sector during the local-level 7th President Running Shield competition organized by the municipality.
The honors were presented by Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi, Deputy Mayor Amrita Devi Kunwar, District Coordination Officer Homanath Adhikari, Chief of the Education Development and Coordination Unit Thaneshwor Ghimire, Chief Administrative Officer Baburam Palli, and other officials.
During the program, 56 teachers were honored, including retired former headteachers such as Keshar Bahadur Thapa of Mahendra Secondary School and Prem Narayan Bhandari of Resunga Secondary School, who served in the teaching profession for a long time and have now retired.
The retired teachers were given special recognition through a shawl and a certificate of honor. Ram Mani Panthi of the Resunga Municipality Education Section informed that students who achieved outstanding results were also honored with cash awards.
According to him, the following students were recognized for their performance in the SEE 2081:

Municipal First: Abhishek Pandey, Mahendra Secondary School (GPA 3.96)
Cash award: Rs. 10,000 and a certificate -
Municipal Second: Shiv Bik, Siddhababa Secondary School (GPA 3.95)
Cash award: Rs. 8,000 and a certificate -
Municipal Third: Sanskriti Paudel, Siddhababa Secondary School (GPA 3.92)
Cash award: Rs. 5,000 and a certificate
Similarly, for the Class 12 examination of the same academic session, the following students were honored with cash awards and certificates:

Seventh President Running Shield Begins in the Municipality
In this municipality, the 7th President Running Shield competition has started from Saturday. While inaugurating the Resunga Municipality-level inter-school President Running Shield competition, Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi stated that sports help make students disciplined, healthy, and competitive. He urged all athletes to participate in healthy and dignified competition.
Stating that the municipality is committed to the development of sports, he expressed confidence that the President Running Shield competition will make an important contribution to building a sports culture in the municipality.
He also said that sports are highly necessary for human life and that sports play a positive role not only in physical health but also in mental development. According to him, the competition will help produce athletes in the future who can bring pride at the municipal, district, provincial, and national levels, and even at the international level.
Opening Ceremony and March Past Results
At the opening ceremony, students presented an attractive march past along with dance performances. Students of Arjun Residential Secondary School also performed an aerobics dance.
