Ncell Foundation and Nasa Securities Launch SIT Campaign Nationwide

On the occasion of Safe Internet Day 2082 (BS), on 2082 Magh 27 (BS) Tuesday, Ncell Foundation and Nasa Securities announced the nationwide launch of the “Safer Internet Together (SIT)” programme.
The social campaign aims to reach schools across the country and provide students with knowledge on cyber security, data privacy, and digital safety. More than 50,000 students, teachers, and community members are expected to benefit.
Programme Scope
Launched as a pilot project, the programme will run cyber awareness sessions for students in Grades 3 to 12 in government, community, and private schools across Bagmati, Gandaki, and Madhesh provinces.
Materials and Expansion Plan
Under the programme, an internet safety handbook has been prepared. The handbook will be distributed to participating students after the sessions.
After successful implementation in the first phase across the three provinces, there is a plan to run the campaign in other provinces in the next fiscal year.

This year’s Safe Internet Day theme is “Smart Tech, Safe Choices: Exploring the Safe and Responsible Use of AI.”
Formal Announcement in Pokhara
The formal announcement of the jointly launched programme by Ncell and Nasa Securities in Nepal was made during a SIT session held on Tuesday at Shree Rastriya Secondary School in Pokhara.
During the programme, Ncell Chief Executive Officer Michael Foley addressed students and shared his views on digital safety and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in today’s digital era.

Progress So Far
So far, SIT sessions have been conducted in nine schools. Asterisk Technology has supported the programme as an implementation partner. More than 7,000 students have already benefited from these sessions.
