School Monitoring in Narainapur Rural Municipality
In Narainapur Rural Municipality of Banke, which is considered a remote and backward area, monitoring of all schools within the municipality has been started to solve the problems seen in the education sector.
According to the municipality, under the leadership of Ward Chairperson Masud Ahmad Sah of Ward No. 2, monitoring has been initiated to assess the educational and physical condition of all community and institutional schools within the municipality.
Ward Chairperson Sah of Ward No. 2 stated that school monitoring began from Madrasa Sirajiya Israrul Ulum located in Ward No. 2. He said that the monitoring has been started to understand the actual situation of educational institutions within the municipality and that all schools will be monitored gradually.
Chairperson of Narainapur Rural Municipality and Coordinator of the Education Committee, Syed Istiyaq Ahmad Sah, said that monitoring has been started because it is necessary to solve various problems seen in schools and madrasas within the municipality. He stated that the monitoring report will open the way for reforms.
He said that education reform is the first priority of the municipality and that a special committee has been formed for this purpose. According to the municipality, in school monitoring, priority has been given to teacher positions, regularity, student numbers, physical infrastructure, quality of learning, examination system, and transparency in management.
Chairperson Sah of the municipality said that the municipality has moved the monitoring forward with priority because the educational environment has been affected after the internal conflict that recently appeared between teachers and the education branch.
Coordinator of the monitoring committee and Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 2, Sah, said that after the monitoring, a detailed report will be prepared and a concrete action plan will be formulated for education reform.
Principal of Madrasa Sirajiya Israrul Ulum, where the monitoring was started, Lal Khan, said that it is positive that impartial monitoring has begun to understand the actual situation of the school, expressing hope that good results will come from this.
