Taplejung: Educational Materials Support for School Students
Taplejung, Phungling, 2082 Poush 6 — Educational materials have been provided to students of Shanti Basic School located in Phungling Municipality, Taplejung.
The Harkaman Dilmaya Shankar Memorial Foundation distributed educational materials to high-performing and diligent students studying at the school.
The distribution was carried out on Saturday on the occasion of the foundation’s fifth memorial day. According to the foundation’s patron, Gangaram Shankar, educational materials were provided to diligent and high-performing students studying at the school, meaning the student in each grade who secured the highest marks.
Shankar said the educational materials were distributed using the interest earned from an endowment fund of NPR 100,000 established by the foundation at Shanti Basic School. He added that the materials were distributed during a program held in the presence of Mohan Naupane, Ward Chair of Phungling Municipality–2, school principal Khagendra Kumar Karki, and others.

The foundation stated that the endowment fund was established in memory of patron Shankar’s late father Harkabahadur Shankar, mother Dilmaya, and wife Dilmaya Shankar. The foundation also stated that, after establishing the endowment fund at the school, it has been distributing educational materials such as notebooks, pens, and bags every year to students studying there using the interest amount.
