With a special focus on the basic level of education, Tatopani village Jumla has organized an activity-based teaching-learning workshop.     

The village has organized a five-day workshop in Tatopani Jumla from Himashir. Basically, a practice-based teaching-learning workshop was conducted to enhance the educational quality of the villagers and make the teacher responsible for their profession, said Nabaraj Neupane, president of the village.     

"As the education level of the private, community and government schools in rural area has declined in the recent past, the local government has not achieved the expected rewards," said Chairman Neupane, adding, "Therefore, the villagers have put more emphasis on teaching based on current appropriate activities than in the past." Trainer Arjun Bhatt said that the main purpose of the workshop was to replace the traditional teaching methodology and establish the new teaching method. "Traditional teaching has led to a narrow room and a frustrated teacher has died," said instructor Bhatt.     

Teacher Dhanalakshmi Shahi, who participated in the workshop, said that the teacher got new energy on the first day. "The workshop has completely discouraged the teaching methods so far, by teaching the children to cheat and pressure them," said teacher Shahi.

Raju KC, Principal of Tatopani Jumla, Himshekhar, expressed the belief that this workshop will bring forth brilliance in the teachers and the teachers who are out of energy. According to Principal KC, 151 basic level teachers have participated in the first three days and the workshop will be conducted for the teachers in the second phase for two days.
