Tribhuvan University Implements Unified Financial Management System
Tribhuvan University has launched a Unified Financial Management System (UFMS) from the current fiscal year.
This system is a web-based financial management software that enables real-time monitoring from the TU Central Office itself. According to TU Registrar Prof. Dr. Kedar Prasad Rijal, all 160 budgetary bodies under Tribhuvan University—which had either not been using any accounting software or had been using different types—will now adopt a uniform software system, ensuring consistency across the institution.
Om Khadka, Managing Director of Erasoft Solution Pvt. Ltd., informed that Erasoft Solution Pvt. Ltd. and Young Mind Creation had signed an agreement with TU last Kartik (October–November) to develop the software. The work has been completed for two of the nine modules under the main accounting system—voucher and salary—and a four-day training has already been provided to the relevant stakeholders.
According to Tulsi Sibakoti, Program Coordinator at Erasoft Pvt. Ltd., accounting officers from TU's valley-based offices were divided into four groups and underwent training sessions from Shrawan 15 to 19.
