Gandaki Province PSC Recommends Alternate Candidate for Sub-Engineer Post

The Gandaki Province Public Service Commission (PPSC), Pokhara has recommended an alternate candidate for the 5th level Sub-Engineer post under the Provincial and Local Engineering Service.
Issuing a notice today (2082.10.13), the Commission recommended a candidate from the alternate merit list for permanent appointment to fill a vacant post.
Background of the Vacancy
According to the Commission’s Interview and Recommendation Section, under Advertisement No. 5001/2081-82 (Open), the candidate ranked 7 in the merit list, Manu Kumar Baitha, had been recommended for Bhanu Municipality, Tanahun.
However, the post became vacant after he was recommended by the Public Service Commission, Kathmandu Office for the post of Civil Sub-Engineer, First Class (Non-Gazetted), and had already taken appointment.
Decision Basis
To fill the vacancy, the Commission stated that a decision was made on 2082.10.12 to recommend an alternate-merit candidate, Birendra Bohara, in accordance with Rule 44, Sub-rule 1(gh) and (3) of the Gandaki Province Public Service Commission Regulation, 2080.
