
Full Scholarships Awarded to Underprivileged Students in Various Streams
Pokhara Metropolitan City has awarded full scholarships to students pursuing higher secondary education. A total of 497 students from various streams have been selected to study Grade 11 at no cost.
Based on the scholarship selection examination held on 2082 Ashad 21, Saturday, the following number of students were granted scholarships:

162 students in Science

201 students in Management
-
80 students in Hotel Management
-
14 students in Law, Humanities, and Education
The scholarships are provided to academically talented students from economically disadvantaged, poor, indigenous, and Dalit communities.
Use of Technology in the Evaluation Process
The examination papers were evaluated using Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) technology. Pokhara Metropolitan conducts this selection examination annually to ensure transparency and merit-based selection.
Mayor Dhanraj Acharya stated that the metropolitan office will further facilitate the enrollment process for the selected students at designated schools.
Statement from the Mayor
“This year’s scholarship examination was conducted with improved structure, discipline, and reliability by incorporating technology into the evaluation process,” said Mayor Acharya. “The metropolitan office will ensure that the students who passed the exam are admitted to the designated schools free of cost.”
Next Steps for Selected Students
The metropolitan office has requested all selected students to contact the Education Division by Ashad 25 to proceed with the admission process.
Mayor Acharya also mentioned that schools designated by the metropolitan office have been directed to ensure mandatory enrollment of the recommended students.
