UII FGLS Scholarship Open for Nepali Students
Kathmandu: Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) in Indonesia will provide Future Global Leaders Scholarships (FGLS) for Nepali citizens for the academic year 2026. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has stated that it has sent the notice for publication based on information received through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to a letter from the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka received through the South, East Asia and Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepali students who wish to study in various academic institutions and subjects at UII can apply for the scholarship.
Application Period
Online registration has opened through UII’s admission system. The application process has been arranged in two intakes.
Intake 1: 1 February to 30 April 2026
Level: Undergraduate and postgraduate programs
Intake 2: 1 October to 30 November 2026
Level: Postgraduate programs only
Applications can be submitted through UII’s online admission system.
Who Can Apply?
This scholarship is open to Nepali citizens who wish to pursue study abroad at UII under undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs.
According to the notice, the scholarship covers the following facilities:

Required Documents and Conditions
Applicants do not need to obtain a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the Indonesian Embassy when applying.
However, applicants must submit either an Indonesian language proficiency certificate or an English language proficiency certificate.
Academic certificates and transcripts must be certified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the concerned country. All documents must be in English.
Selection Process
Candidates initially shortlisted for the scholarship must participate in the selection process. The process will include administrative selection and an interview.
The names of selected scholarship recipients will be announced on 29 May 2026 for Intake 1 and on 18 December 2026 for Intake 2.
