UNAIR ADS Scholarship Open for Nepali Students
Kathmandu: Indonesia’s public university Universitas Airlangga has opened scholarship applications for Nepali citizens under the Airlangga Development Scholarship (ADS) Academic Year 2026. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology published the scholarship notice based on information received through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry, Universitas Airlangga has informed that ADS scholarships will be provided to international students who wish to study in various academic institutions and subjects at the university. A letter received from the Indonesian Embassy in Dhaka through the South, East Asia and Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was forwarded to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Application Period
According to the notice, online applications will remain open until 18 May 2026. Applications can be submitted through Universitas Airlangga’s admission system.
The ADS scholarship has been opened for Nepali citizens. The scholarship is available for applicants who wish to pursue master’s and doctoral degree studies.
Scholarship Benefits
According to the notice, full and partial scholarship schemes will be available under ADS. Depending on the scholarship scheme awarded, the following benefits may be covered:

The notice states that these benefits may vary according to the scholarship scheme received by the student.
Recommendation Letter and Required Documents
Applicants must obtain a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) from the Indonesian Embassy. For this, the required documents must be sent through the link provided by the embassy by 13 May 2026. According to the notice, the LoR will be provided free of charge.
Applicants must submit an Indonesian language proficiency certificate with a minimum A1 level. An English language proficiency certificate will also be required.
Academic certificates and transcripts must be attested by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the respective country. The notice states that all documents must be provided in English.
Selection Process and Result
Candidates initially shortlisted for the scholarship must participate in administrative selection and an interview. The names of scholarship awardees will be announced on 26 May 2026.
