Helvetas Nepal Vacancy Announcement for Municipal WASH Officer
Helvetas Nepal, through its Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Programme, is seeking a committed Nepali citizen to fill the position of Municipal WASH Officer.
Job Purpose:
The Municipal WASH Officer will take the lead role in implementing program activities at the municipality level to ensure effective delivery and achievement of outputs. This includes ensuring the smooth implementation of program activities, providing technical support to partner NGO staff, and monitoring construction activities to ensure quality and timely completion of planned activities.
Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and at least three years of working experience in the Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) or irrigation sector. Candidates with experience in WASH will be given preference. The ideal candidate should also have experience in conducting feasibility and detail surveys, preparing design/estimates of WASH/irrigation schemes, and implementing WASH/irrigation schemes. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate a commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
