IFRC Nepal announces Senior Programme Officer and PMEAL Officer positions
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Nepal has announced the opening of two positions - Senior Programme Officer (Disaster Risk Reduction) and Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (PMEAL) Officer for IFRC- American Red Cross. Position Details:
1. Senior Programme Officer (Disaster Risk Reduction) for IFRC
Qualification:
The candidate should hold a Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience:
The candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, including demonstrated experience in project formulation, planning, monitoring, and narrative reporting using community-based and participatory approaches.
Responsibilities:
The Sr. Programme Officer (ORR) will provide technical support to the Country Manager and NRCS in planning, implementation, monitoring, lesson learned documentation, and reporting as per project documents, log frame, budget, implementation plans, NRCS, IFRC and American Red Cross policies, national guidelines, and donor requirements ensuring the quality of outcomes. The position will also be responsible for coordinating the projects' field activities and engagements with NRCS to facilitate the planning and implementation of project activities as per the programme expectation outlined in project agreement and Strategic Partnership Plan (SPP) ultimately contributing to IFRC goals.
2. Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (PMEAL) Officer for IFRC- American Red Cross
Qualification:
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in operations research, quantitative analysis, or other relevant fields.
Experience:
The candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program design and assessment, with at least three years working directly in the M&E role required, along with thorough familiarity with the principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Responsibilities:
The PMEAL Officer is responsible for strengthening monitoring, evaluation and learning systems of the existing and new NRCS' projects supported by the American Red Cross. The PMEAL officer will support the NRCS in building robust M&E systems, implementing the NRCS M&E system and strengthening their capacity in planning, monitoring, data readiness, information management, and reporting.
