Kathmandu University Research Assistant Vacancy 2026

The Department of Agriculture under the School of Science at Kathmandu University (KU) has invited applications from qualified and interested candidates for the position of Research Assistant (RA) for a research project.

According to the notice published on November 2, 2026, the university requires one full-time Research Assistant for the research project titled "Implications of Glacier Recession for Aquatic Ecosystems in the Himalayas (Hi-RISE)."

Position Details and Required Qualifications

• Position: Research Assistant (RA)

• Number of Vacancies: 1 (One)

• Duration: 3 months (Mangsir to Magh, 2083 BS)

• Working Basis: Full-time, primarily focusing on the identification of macroinvertebrates.

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree (BSc/First Division) in a relevant field of study.

• Preferred Experience: Candidates with previous experience in macroinvertebrate identification will be preferred.
