Notice Regarding Internal and Open Inclusive Competitive Exams for Permanent Appointment at Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Tripureshwor, Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, announces the permanent appointment of vacant positions through internal and open inclusive competitive examinations.
As per the consent received from the Public Service Commission on 2082/03/26, the following posts vacant at KUKL will be filled permanently through written examinations conducted by the Public Service Commission under internal and open inclusive competition.
In accordance with the provisions of the company’s prevailing Employee Administration Regulations, 2064 (Amended), applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens who meet the required qualifications for the positions mentioned below.

Applicants must affix a passport-sized photo in the specified area and self-attest copies of their academic qualification certificates. The complete application should be submitted to the Human Resource Development Section of the company’s central office at Tripureshwor within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
The examination fee must be deposited in the current account number 0201017501616 at Nabil Bank Limited, and two copies of the deposit voucher must be attached to the application.
Applicants who miss the regular deadline can still submit their applications within an additional 7 days by paying double the examination fee.
If the final day of submission falls on a public holiday, the application can be submitted on the next working day.

Legal and Procedural Guidelines
-
In accordance with the directive order issued on 2079/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in the context of Writ No. 078-WO-0660 and related transfers, the posts falling under inclusive groups—initially not included in FY 2079/080—will be calculated based on the proportional representation of the inclusive category among total sanctioned posts. Measures to address the loss of such positions will be taken as per legal provisions.

Age criteria:
-
For officer-level positions in levels 7, 8, and 9: Minimum 21 years and not exceeding 40 years.
-
For level 6: Minimum 21 years and not exceeding 35 years.
-
For assistant level positions: Minimum 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.
-
For women and persons with disabilities: Maximum age shall not exceed 40 years by the deadline.
-
Educational qualifications and work experience must also be attained within the mentioned age limits.

A probationary period will apply in accordance with Regulation 18 of the Employee Administration Regulation, 2064 (including the 10th amendment).

Salary scale and other benefits shall follow the company’s prevailing rules.

Written examinations for open and inclusive competition under each service/group will be conducted jointly in a single sitting.

Candidates applying under inclusive categories must fill out the first page of the application form separately for each group. However, a single roll number and admit card will be issued.

Candidates must explicitly mention the inclusive group(s) they are applying for in the designated section of the admit card. Failure to do so will disqualify the candidate from participating in the examination.

Candidates applying under multiple inclusive groups need to submit only one set of required documents.

Applicants must deposit the exam fee at Nabil Bank, Account No. 0201017501616, and attach two original deposit vouchers with the application. Applications submitted after the regular deadline but within 7 additional days require double the exam fee.
For inclusive group applications, candidates must pay an additional 50% of the exam fee for each group. -

Additional Documents Required for Inclusive Candidates

For Indigenous Groups:
Application will be accepted based on the list of ethnic groups recognized under the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act. If there are multiple surnames under a listed ethnic group, certification must be provided from the Chief District Officer upon recommendation from the local authority confirming the caste and surname as per the official list. -
For Dalit Groups:
Application will be accepted based on the caste list recognized by the National Dalit Commission. If multiple surnames exist under a caste group, similar certification as above must be submitted. -
For Madhesi Groups:
Certification must be submitted from an institution designated by the Government of Nepal through a notice in the Nepal Gazette. Until such designation is made, applicants must obtain certification from the Chief District Officer upon recommendation from the local authority. -
For Persons with Disabilities:
A valid disability identity card must be submitted.
