Citizen Investment Trust (Nagarik Lagani Kosh - CIT) (Central Office), New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, Notice on Application Call for Permanent Recruitment Through Open Competitive Examination Notice Details.

As per the approval of the Public Service Commission, permanent recruitment is to be made through open competitive examinations for the vacant posts at Citizen Investment Trust as listed below. Therefore, eligible Nepali citizens meeting the required qualifications are informed to submit online applications within 21 (twenty-one) days from the date of publication of this notice, and within an additional 7 (seven) days by paying double application fees.

Applicants must attach copies of a Nepali citizenship certificate, academic qualification documents, and other required documents and certificates as mentioned in this notice.

For fifth and sixth level posts, applicants must apply through the Trust’s website www.nlk.org.np (under Careers) or directly via https://vacancy.nlk.org.np.

For the fourth level post, applicants must attach the certificate proving they have passed the pre-qualification examination conducted on 2082/07/15 by the Public Service Commission under the integrated examination system, along with other specified documents, and submit the online application through https://uvms.epf.org.np. The required fee must be deposited online via connect IPS or eSewa.

The syllabus for the advertised posts can be downloaded from the Trust’s website. Applicants who have obtained academic qualifications from foreign universities must also submit an equivalency certificate issued by the authorized body. Applications submitted after the deadline, incomplete applications, or applications submitted without mandatory attachments will not be processed.

The written examination will be conducted by the Public Service Commission.

As per the mandamus order issued by the Honorable Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 in relation to writ petition(s), including Writ No. 078-WO-0660, recruitment will be conducted in accordance with legal provisions so as to compensate for losses by including the posts that were actually lost due to not being included under the inclusive group in FY 2079/080.

Additional Terms and Conditions

(a) Age Limit (by the final date of application submission)

  • For Assistant-level posts: Must have completed 18 years of age and must not have exceeded 35 years.

  • For Officer-level posts: Must have completed 21 years of age and must not have exceeded 35 years.

  • For women and candidates with disabilities: Must not have exceeded 40 years.

  • For permanent employees currently working in the Trust: The age limit will not apply.

(b) The double-fee deadline will not be counted for the purpose of age, educational qualification, training, and obtaining inclusive certificates.

(c) A candidate must not be disqualified in the future for government service due to being dismissed from government service or employment in any organized institution, must not have been convicted by a court in a criminal case involving moral turpitude, and must not be a non-Nepali citizen.

(d) Separate application forms must be submitted separately for each post as per the advertisement.

(e) No action will be taken on applications received after the deadline or not submitted as per procedure.

(g) Examination Type

  • For Advertisement No. 12 and 13: Written examination, presentation, and interview.

  • For Advertisement No. 14 and 15: Written examination, computer skill test, and interview.

(h) Examination Fee

  • Officer level (Sixth level): NPR 1,000/-

  • Assistant level posts: NPR 600/-
    If a candidate participates in both open and inclusive groups for the same post, an additional 25% fee will be charged for each group.

(i) Salary and Benefits: As per the Trust’s rules.

(j) Examination Date: Will be published on the websites of the Public Service Commission and the Trust after the examination schedule is determined by the Commission.

(k) Probation Period: As per the Trust’s rules.

(l) Duty Station: Kathmandu and the Trust’s branch offices outside Kathmandu Valley.

Minimum Required Academic Qualification

Assistant Officer, Sixth Level, Administration

Must have passed a Master’s degree from a recognized university, or must have passed a Chartered Accountant (CA) course along with a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational institution and obtained a professional certificate from the concerned body, or must have passed an equivalent qualification.

Assistant Computer Officer, Sixth Level, Technical

Must have passed a Master’s degree in Computer or Information Technology from a recognized university, or must have passed a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

Senior Assistant, Fifth Level, Administration

Must have passed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

Assistant, Fourth Level, Administration

Must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational institution.

Additional Documents Required for Inclusive Group Candidates

Inclusive group candidates must also submit the following documents as applicable:

For Indigenous Nationalities (Adivasi/Janajati)

For communities listed under the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, 2058, eligibility will be determined based on the schedule of that Act. However, if there is more than one surname within a listed indigenous community, the candidate must submit verification from the Chief District Officer, based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, confirming that the surname falls within the listed community.

For Madhesi

Based on certification as Madhesi issued by the institution designated by the Government of Nepal through a notice published in the Nepal Gazette. However, until such an institution is designated through a Nepal Gazette notice, the candidate must obtain Madhesi certification from the Chief District Officer based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level and submit it with the application.

For Persons with Disabilities

A disability identity card issued by the Social Welfare Council, or a disability identity card issued by the concerned local level mentioning the classification of disability as per Sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2074.
