The Nepal Army has invited applications to fill approved vacant posts of Sainya and various trade Followers, including Ba.Ka.Si, Tailor, Cleaner, Leatherworker, Blacksmith, Barber, Carpenter, Syce, and Farrier, through open competition.
Eligible and interested Nepali citizens are invited to appear in person at the recruitment selection center, fill in the application form available there, and submit it. Applicants may also fill in the form electronically through the official portal of the Nepal Army Recruitment Selection Directorate at https://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np, print the form, and submit it in person at the designated recruitment selection center.

Application Submission Date and Place
Application Date: From 2083/01/18 to 2083/02/16. Applications may also be submitted for an additional 7 days, from 2083/02/17 to 2083/02/23, by paying double the fee. Applications must be submitted during office hours within this period.
If a public holiday falls on the last day for submitting the application with the regular fee or double fee, the application fee revenue may be paid and the application form may be registered on the next working day after that date.

All candidates must compulsorily fill in the prescribed form.
Fee for Sainya post: Rs. 150 only
Fee for various trade Followers posts: Rs. 100 only
For candidates applying under inclusive groups within the same advertisement number, an additional fee of 20 percent will be charged for each group.
The above-mentioned fee must be deposited in the name of the recruitment selection center to which the applicant is applying, using the office name, office code, bank account number, and revenue heading number listed below. The payment voucher, paid through the cash collection bank or electronically online by the 2nd date mentioned above, must be submitted by the candidate along with the application form.

Educational Qualification: Must have passed Grade 8.Candidates who have passed Grade 9 must also compulsorily submit the educational qualification certificate for Grade 8. Candidates submitting SLC/SEE or higher educational qualification certificates are not required to submit the Grade 8 certificate. However, they must submit copies of all educational qualification certificates from SLC/SEE and above.
For certificates issued after the implementation of the Letter Grading Directive, 2072:
Grade 8 pass certificates must have a minimum GPA of 2, and no subject must be below D+. Candidates submitting SLC/SEE or higher qualification certificates must have a minimum GPA of 2 or CGPA of 1.6 in the SLC/SEE certificate, and no subject must be below D+.For certificates issued under the Letter Grading Directive, 2078:

The same physical examination standard applies to Tailor, Cleaner, Leatherworker, Blacksmith, Barber, Carpenter, Syce, and Farrier posts.
Male Candidates: 10 sit-ups; 10 push-ups; 3 chin-ups; complete 300-meter run in 60 seconds; complete 2-mile run in 16 minutes.
Female Candidates: 8 sit-ups; 5 push-ups; 2 chin-ups; complete 300-meter run in 70 seconds; complete 2-mile run in 20 minutes.
Other Qualifications
Candidates for the mentioned posts must be found fit in the health examination. They must not have been convicted by a court in a criminal case involving moral turpitude. They must not currently be members of any political party, must not be involved in any criminal activity, and must not be members of any organization with destructive objectives.
They must not have been punished for spying against Nepal, must not have been punished for violations of human rights and humanitarian law, and must not have been dismissed from service in a way that disqualifies them for government service in the future.
Other qualifications must be as mentioned in the Military Service Regulations, 2069 and the Recruitment Selection Directive, 2071.
Age Limit
The age of candidates must be as follows by the last date for application submission, 2083/02/16.

For Serving Candidates in the Nepal Army

They must submit the recommendation of the unit commander.
Required Documents to be Submitted with the Application
Copies of the following documents must be self-attested by the candidate and submitted in one copy each in a Nepali file. Certificates with overwriting or double writing will not be accepted. Candidates must bring the original copies of all documents submitted with the application.
Nepali Citizenship Certificate
Mark sheets, character certificates, and original/provisional certificates of all educational qualifications
Equivalence Certificate: For those who obtained degrees from boards and universities other than schools/universities of Nepal, an equivalence certificate determined by the Curriculum Development Centre/Tribhuvan University must be submitted.
Other Certificates: Certificates obtained apart from educational qualifications, including certificates related to extracurricular activities and other subjects, if any.
For children of Nepali Army personnel who became physically disabled due to injuries sustained during military training or while performing duties, and for children of Nepali Army personnel who died while performing duties, the following additional documents must be self-attested and submitted by the concerned candidate:

Record or Pension Evidence: One certified copy showing that the name is included in the list of dependents published by Shree Samaratna Sangrahalaya Directorate, or one certified copy of the retirement authority letter or pension document mentioning martyrdom, death while performing duties, or disability.

For Serving Soldiers: One copy of the Medical Board recommendation letter as per Rule 107 of the Military Service Regulations, 2069.

The selection examination will include bearing and preliminary health examination, physical examination, practical examination except for the Ba.Ka.Si post, detailed health examination, and interview.

The selection examinations of candidates will be conducted at the concerned recruitment centers.
Salary, Allowance, Ration, and Other Facilities
Salary, allowance, ration, and other facilities will be as per the prevailing rules and arrangements of the Nepal Army.
Other Conditions
Employees working in the Government of Nepal or other government organizations must compulsorily mention their employment status in the application form and submit departmental approval at the time of application submission. If they fail to do so, the application and all examinations will be cancelled.
Male candidates applying under inclusive categories may compete in only one of the Indigenous Nationalities, Madhesi, or Dalit communities. This provision will not apply to women. Candidates from backward areas, whether women or men, may also apply and compete under the backward area quota.
Women will be assigned to Nepal Army units involved in Combat Related Duties, Combat Support, and Combat Service Support, which provide service and support from behind to forces directly involved in combat, excluding Nepal Army units that perform Direct Combat Duties or Close Combat Role, meaning duties that directly involve fighting on the front line during battle.
Candidates, except serving military personnel, must be unmarried. For the Sainya post, candidates are not allowed to marry during the training period.
An applicant may apply to only one recruitment selection center under the same advertisement number and the same post.

Information on Filling the Online Form
Applicants must visit the official portal of the Nepal Army at https://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np from a mobile phone or computer, go to “Vacancy and Requirements,” and click “Apply” under the advertisement for the Sainya post.
After filling in personal details, family details, educational qualification details, recruitment center details, and citizenship details in the online form, the applicant must make online payment through the online payment gateway. The payment voucher and personal details form obtained after payment must be saved and printed.
The printed voucher and personal details form, along with other required documents and photographs, must be submitted in person at the selected recruitment selection center within the prescribed date.
If a candidate only submits the application form online and does not submit the printed form at the recruitment selection center, the form submitted online only will not be recognized.

Special Notice
As per the mandamus order issued on 2079/01/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in writ petition No. 078-WO-0382 and other certiorari-related petitions, in which the Nepal Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, Department of Military Operations, Army Headquarters, Kathmandu, and others were respondents, this notice has been published for the time being under the prevailing law for filling posts.
After necessary legal arrangements are made regarding inclusive groups, the posts falling under inclusive groups will be calculated according to their proportion among the total posts. The vacancies will also include the actual lost posts that were not received on time from fiscal year 2079/80, and recruitment will be carried out as provided by law.
