Nepal Engineering Council Open Competitive Examination Notice

Nepal Engineering Council (NEC), Minbhawan, Kathmandu, (Established under Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055), Notification regarding permanent recruitment through open competitive examination.

Based on the approval of the Public Service Commission dated 2082/06/09 and the decision of the Recruitment Committee on the same date, the vacant posts of the Council are to be filled permanently through an open competitive examination.

Therefore, applications are invited from eligible Nepali citizens within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice (with an additional 7 days by paying double the fee).

Eligible candidates must visit the Nepal Engineering Council website vacancy.nec.gov.np, sign up/login, and submit their online application within 21 days from the date of first publication. The advertisement notice is also available on www.nec.gov.np.

Special Notice

In compliance with the order issued on 2079/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in Writ No. 078-WO-0660 and related petitions, recruitment for inclusive group positions will be carried out only after the necessary legal provisions are arranged.

Important Information

• Type of Examination: Written, interview, and other methods as prescribed in the curriculum

• Curriculum: Available for download at www.nec.gov.np under download/others

• Examination Center: Kathmandu Valley. Written examinations will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. The schedule will be determined by the Commission.

• Application Process: Candidates must fill out the application form for the desired post only after making payment through one of the specified payment modes in the Payment Tab.

• Application Fee: NPR 1,200 for Level 7 and NPR 800 for Level 5

• Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 2082/06/30 and by paying double fee by 2082/07/06

• Age Limit:

  • For Level 7: Minimum 21 years and not exceeding 35 years (40 years for women and persons with disabilities)

  • For Level 5: Minimum 18 years and not exceeding 35 years (40 years for women and persons with disabilities)

  • No age limit for permanent employees of the Council

• Salary and Benefits: As per the Nepal Engineering Council Employee Service, Terms, and Facilities Regulation, 2078

Important Notes

• Double fee period will not be counted for age, qualification, training, experience, and service period purposes

• Equivalence certificate must be submitted if the minimum qualification requires equivalence determination

• All details must be filled as mentioned in the application form

• Applications that are incomplete, do not meet minimum qualifications, or are not submitted with the required fee will not be accepted

• Matters not mentioned in this notice will follow the Council’s employee regulations and prevailing laws
