Nepal Police invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens to fill vacant posts of Prahari Jawan (Janapad) and Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi through open competition under the inclusive provisions. Applications must be submitted in person with a ticket of Rs. 10 affixed.

Application Fees

Prahari Jawan (Janapad): Rs. 300 payable with the application form; 20% (Rs. 60) per each additional group for candidates
Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi: Rs. 200 payable with the application form; 20% (Rs. 40) per each additional group for candidates

Age Limits

Prahari Jawan (Janapad): At least 18 years and not exceeding 23 years by the last date of application registration. For in-service non-gazetted police personnel without rank, not exceeding 25 years as per Rule 40 of Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments).
Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi: At least 18 years and not exceeding 25 years by the last date of application registration.

Minimum Qualifications

Prahari Jawan (Janapad)

Educational Qualification: Passed at least Grade 8 or equivalent from a recognized educational institution
Other Requirements:
- Not convicted of a criminal offense involving moral turpitude
- Not a member of a political party
- Not a member of a terrorist organization
- Not a person generally disqualified for future government service
- Eyesight not weaker than minus 2 or plus 2
- Height, Chest, and Weight:
  - Male: Minimum height 5 ft 2 in; chest 31–33 in; weight 50 kg
  - Female: Minimum height 5 ft; weight 42 kg
- Medical examination as prescribed by an approved physician designated by Nepal Police Headquarters
- Nepali citizen

Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi

Educational Qualification: Literate (able to read and write)
Height, Chest, and Weight:
- Male: Minimum height 5 ft; chest 31–33 in; weight 50 kg
- Female: Minimum height 4 ft 10 in; weight 42 kg
For Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi (Kheladi): Must submit a certificate of participation with medal in national competitions conducted by an institution recognized by the National Sports Association or National Sports Council, or a certificate of outstanding performance in competitions up to age 23 in South Asian, Asian, or Olympic Games
Other Requirements (same as Prahari Jawan for the specified points): Must fulfill the qualifications as per items for Prahari Jawan (Janapad) relating to moral character, political affiliation, terrorist affiliation, eligibility for government service, eyesight, medical examination, and citizenship

Citizenship certificate (copy)
Recent passport-size photos (4 of the same type) showing full face with both ears clearly visible (males must have shaved beard and trimmed hair)
Copies of academic certificates (one copy each), including transcripts/marksheets; if studied outside Nepal, an equivalence certificate from the National Examinations Board/Tribhuvan University
For Martyr/Disabled Police Family: Documents confirming martyr/disabled status and relationship proof
For Adivasi/Janajati: As per the list under the Nepal National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act; if multiple surnames exist within a listed ethnicity, a document certified by the concerned local body
For Madhesi: Certificate from the institution designated by the Government of Nepal and published in the Nepal Gazette certifying Madhesi status
For Dalit: As per the list of the National Dalit Commission; if within a listed caste, a document certified by the concerned authority specifying the surname
For Remote Area: For applicants from Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, and Humla, proof of citizenship issued from and permanent residence in the same district; certification from the concerned rural/municipality that the applicant has been residing at the permanent address up to the date of application submission, and the recommendation must be dated no more than three months prior to the application date; if permanent residence citizenship is held, a letter from the issuing District Administration Office stating the reason
On the back of all copies submitted with the application form: The candidate must sign, writing “True copy as per the original”

Examination Method

Preliminary health check and physical fitness test
Written examination: Conducted by the Public Service Commission at exam centers designated by the Commission
Written exam will be for Prahari Jawan only
- Objective multiple-choice questions
- For each wrong answer, 20% of the marks will be deducted
- Answers to objective multiple-choice questions must be written using English capital letters A, B, C, D (not applicable to other posts)
Practical examination: Only for Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi

Specialized Work Areas and Nature of Work (for Prahari Karyalaya Sahayogi)

Hajam: Hair cutting services for police personnel
Kuchikar: Cleaning of offices, toilets, bathrooms, and office compounds
Kheladi: Participate and perform in sports competitions at national and international levels

Selection in one specialized area only: While submitting the application form, candidates must choose and mark (â) only one specialized work area according to their interest and ability.

In compliance with the mandamus order issued on 2079/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in Writ No. 078-WO-0662 and related petitions, where Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, Kathmandu is also a respondent, recruitment for inclusive group positions will be carried out only after the necessary legal provisions are arranged.

Additional Notes

Single registration center: Applicants must register the application form from only one registration center. If duplicate applications are found, the application will be canceled.
Inclusive progression: Only candidates who pass each stage under the inclusive group will be allowed to participate in the next stage.
Separate competition: During the examination, open and inclusive group candidates will compete separately. Posts under the inclusive group will be filled based on the marks obtained by the candidates of that group.
Original documents at submission: Candidates must appear in person with original certificates when submitting the application.
Post number adjustment: As per Sub-rule (5) of Rule 13 of Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments), if positions become vacant due to addition or vacancy after the advertisement is published, the Recruitment Committee may publicly publish a notice and increase the number under the same advertisement before the publication of the written exam results.
Rejection: Applications not meeting the prescribed conditions may be canceled at any time.
No refund: Application fees will not be refunded if the application is canceled.

The application form can be downloaded from the same website, and after attaching the required documents, it can be submitted to the designated office.
