
List of All PCL Nursing Colleges in Nepal Affiliated with CTEVT
The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) runs the Proficiency Certificate Level (PCL) Nursing program to prepare skilled nursing professionals. The program runs for three years, and each affiliated institution offers 40 seats per intake.

Eligibility Criteria
The criteria are divided into two categories based on when the applicant completed their secondary education:
1. For Applicants Who Passed Before the Letter Grading System (e.g., SLC)

Must have passed the SLC (School Leaving Certificate) or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution.

The curriculum must have included compulsory Mathematics, English, and Science.

The applicant must have secured at least a second division classification OR obtained a minimum of 45% in total marks.

Alternatively, applicants who have completed a related Technical SLC (TSLC) / Pre-Diploma program from CTEVT with at least 68.33% total marks are also eligible.
2. For Applicants Who Passed After the Letter Grading System (e.g., SEE)

Must have passed the SEE (Secondary Education Examination) or an equivalent examination from a recognized institution.

The curriculum must have included compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science.

The applicant must have obtained a minimum GPA of 2.0 (out of 4.0).

Alternatively, applicants who have completed a related Technical SLC (TSLC) / Pre-Diploma program from CTEVT with at least 68.33% total marks are also eligible.
Additional Provision for Male Candidates

The document specifies that 15% of the total approved seats for the Certificate Level Nursing program are reserved for male candidates under the full-fee paying scheme.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents with the application form:

Two recent passport-size photographs (35mm x 45mm) with the candidate’s name and chosen program written on the back

Copy of SEE/SLC or Technical SLC (Pre-Diploma)/Equivalent marksheet and transcripts

Copy of citizenship certificate or any official identification issued by the Government of Nepal

Copy of recommendation letter from the concerned authority for the full-fee reserved quota

Proof of entrance examination fee payment as per the “Entrance Examination Conduct, Scholarship Distribution, and Admission Guidelines 2081”
Selection Method for Admission
The merit list of candidates is determined based on the average Grade Point (GPA) obtained in the SEE examination.

Candidates from government or community schools receive a weightage of 1.0.

Candidates from institutional/private schools receive a weightage of 0.85.
-
For SLC graduates under the pre-grading system, marks are converted into equivalent GPA.

If GPA is the same, priority is given based on final grades in compulsory Mathematics, Science, and English (in that order).

If still tied, priority is given to candidates from disadvantaged or remote areas.

If still tied, the older candidate (by date of birth) will be prioritized.

SEE candidates must enter grades for Mathematics, Science, and English.

SLC candidates (pre-grading) must enter marks for all subjects.
