The Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) was established in 2000 under the affiliation of Tribhuvan University, with the vision of becoming a world-class academic institution. In response to the rapidly changing needs of society due to advancements in science and technology, ACEM is committed to producing academically qualified and technically sound engineering graduates through quality education.
The college currently offers to BE level academic programs in Civil, Computer, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical engineering. ACEM aims to enhance the quality of engineering education by upgrading and updating the applied and research-based knowledge and skills of its faculties, staff, and students.
ACEM is continuously supporting its students through various research-based student organizations like the robotics club, PACE (Project Association of Computer and Electronics), and ACESS (Advanced Civil Engineering Students Society). The college promotes its students to organize and participate in various activities, seminars, workshops, and competitions within the country and abroad to showcase their achievements.
ACEM has already started the construction of a new college building on its own land in Balkhu, Kathmandu, with a total floor area of about 180,000 sq. ft. covering around 13 Ropanies of land area.
The college has organized the Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) conference in 2016, where many of its faculties presented papers. ACEM has been working on creating a conducive academic environment not only within the college premises but also for the entire engineering community. To this end, the college has published three journals named "Journal of Advanced College of Engineering and Management" (JACEM), regularly publishes the final year project abstracts in a booklet, and has started publishing an annual magazine to encourage students, staff, and faculties to showcase their talents.
ACEM's vision is to be one of the best technically innovative engineering schools in Nepal and establish itself as a world-class institution. The college has a long and distinguished record of producing outstanding graduates who have progressed to the most prestigious institutions either for professional career or research study, whether it may be within the country or abroad.
To be recognized as one of the most innovative and technically advanced engineering colleges in Nepal, committed to providing a comprehensive education that balances theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in their future careers.
To produce technically competent, proactive, and ethical leaders who can manage a global workforce with diversified workgroups and adaptability to various cultures. We strive to establish ourselves as a world-class institution through continuing education, faculty and staff development, and corporate research and consultancy. Our campus, located in Balkhu adjacent to the Ring Road, offers the best of both worlds: a central location in the capital city with a serene atmosphere and natural beauty. Our well-equipped infrastructure is regularly upgraded with the latest technology to ensure students have access to modern equipment. We aim to provide a comfortable and homely environment to our students on the college premises. In addition to academic curriculum, we offer a diverse range of co-curricular and extracurricular activities, enabling our students to enjoy an all-round education and an active college life. Students can join clubs that match their interests and participate in various events organized by these clubs.
At ACEM, we are committed to providing our students with the best possible global experience. In today's globalized world, it is essential to stay up-to-date with international trends and developments. Our international partnerships with Stars Scholars Network and Angelo State University help our students gain new perspectives on research and build relationships with others, which are key to career development. These collaborations offer a path toward a collaborative approach to global learning, engaging faculty, students, and institutions by sharing cross-cultural practices.
Extracurricular Activities at ACEM
At acem, we believe that the college experience is about more than just pursuing a degree - it's also about becoming part of a community and developing holistically as a person. Whether you are taking courses online or in a traditional or modern classroom setting, connecting with others and building relationships that extend beyond the classroom is important.
To support the holistic development of our students, acem encourages them to participate in various sports and extracurricular activities of their choice. Research has shown that sports and physical activity can reduce anxiety and depression, leading to improved overall mood and mental health.
At acem, students have the opportunity to explore their talents in a variety of sports such as basketball, football, cricket, futsal (female), volleyball, table tennis, badminton, tug-of-war, chess, and more. We also encourage our students to participate in inter and intra-college competitions, which allow them to excel in their chosen sport and develop valuable skills such as teamwork and leadership.
By participating in extracurricular activities and sports, students can make the most of their college experience and create lasting memories and relationships. At acem, we strive to provide a supportive and engaging environment where our students can thrive both academically and personally.
