Institutional Background

Gadhawa Multiple Campus (गढवा बहुमुखी क्याम्पस) was established with the active involvement of local education enthusiasts, social workers, politicians, intellectuals, journalists, industrialists, businesspersons, and parents. The campus was founded as a community-based public institution to make higher education accessible to students who had completed higher secondary education in the local area.
In its early stage, the campus did not have land of its own. Classes were conducted in the morning shift at the building of Janata Secondary School. Sarvodaya Community Forest later provided 2 bighas and 12 kaththas of land for campus use through a decision of its general assembly.
The physical development of the campus has involved public and community support. A five-room building was constructed with assistance from the local Village Development Committee, District Development Committee, and local voluntary labor. Additional construction work has included two 18-room buildings and a boundary wall with support from the Local Infrastructure Program, honorable Members of Parliament, the then District Development Committee, and funds collected through a Mahayagya organized by the campus.
The campus has been running programs in Humanities, Management, and Education since its establishment. It has served as a local higher education center for students from surrounding areas, including four rural municipalities of Dang district, Pyuthan district, and Arghakhanchi district.
