Institutional Background

Janagyankunj Campus (जनज्ञानकुन्ज क्याम्पस, दशेरा, जाजरकाेट) was established in 2069 BS through the joint efforts of local leaders, education supporters, and intellectuals of Jajarkot district. The campus received temporary affiliation from Tribhuvan University on 2069/03/31 BS. Bachelor-level teaching under the Faculty of Education began from Mangsir 2069 BS in the building of Janapriya Secondary School.

The campus was formed to widen higher education access in a remote part of Jajarkot. Its establishment was connected with public participation and local concern for students who faced difficulty reaching urban campuses.

After beginning with bachelor-level education, the campus later introduced master’s level teaching under the Faculty of Education. M.Ed. teaching began in 2079 BS after the campus received affiliation approval from Tribhuvan University in 2078 BS.
