Madi Campus was established in 2053 BS (1996 AD) as a community-based institution in Basantapur, Madi, Chitwan. It began with the PCL in Education program as an extension program of Saptagandaki Multiple Campus, Bharatpur, Chitwan, starting in 2053 BS and running up to 2057 BS.
The campus expanded its academic offerings over time. It received +2 program affiliation from the Higher Secondary Education Board in 2058 BS. Under Tribhuvan University (TU), it received affiliation to run the three-year B.Ed program (now a four-year B.Ed program) in 2057 BS and the three-year BBS program (now a four-year BBS program) in 2063 BS. From the academic year 2075/076, the campus received affiliation to run an M.Ed program with specialization courses in English and population.
