Overview
Scheer Memorial Hospital Medical Institute, College of B.Sc. Nursing (4-year program) was established on 19th Sept. 2005. It is affiliated to Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Kavre. The Institute is situated within the complex of Scheer Memorial Adventist Hospital. The hospital has 150 beds that are used for the College’s practicums. Scheer Memorial Hospital is a full-service hospital with departments including Medical, Surgical, Cardiology, Pathology, OB/Gynae, Pediatric, OT, Emergency, OPD, ENT, and Dermatology. The hospital has many ancillary services including laboratory facilities, ultrasound, x-ray, and physical therapy. Soon the hospital will also have cardiac testing capabilities.
The Nursing College provides all facilities, including classrooms, basic science laboratory, nutritional lab, audiovisual lab, computer lab, library, demonstration rooms, offices, conference halls, visiting room, canteen, hostel and other necessary facilities required for nurse education. These facilities are located within the Scheer Memorial Hospital compound for security and ease of access to hospital.
