Valley College of Technical Sciences

Valley College of Technical Sciences (VCTS) is a health sciences college located in Sitapaila, Kathmandu, Nepal. Established in 2008 AD, VCTS operates through the Department of Public Health and the Department of Pharmacy.

The college is affiliated with Purbanchal University (PU) and offers two four-year undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm). Bachelor of Public Health

The Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) is a four-year program organized across eight semesters.

Bachelor of Pharmacy

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is a four-year, eight-semester undergraduate program.

The Purbanchal University curriculum carries 168 credits covering theory, practical study, seminars, project work, and professional internship. Major areas include basic sciences, basic medical sciences, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, hospital and clinical pharmacy, and community pharmacy.

The curriculum also includes project work and professional internship as part of the academic structure.

Admission and Professional Regulation

Admission requirements depend on the rules applicable to the concerned program and intake. Where a health-science program falls under the prevailing framework of the Medical Education Commission (MEC), the relevant entrance, admission, seat allocation, scholarship, fee, and examination provisions apply according to MEC decisions and its academic calendar.

For professional pharmacy practice, graduates must meet the licensing requirements of the Nepal Pharmacy Council.

The Nepal Nursing Council is associated with nursing professional regulation. VCTS's listed undergraduate programs are BPH and B.Pharm.
