If you aim to teach at the secondary level in Nepal, the B.Ed. at Bhadgaun Sinuwari Multiple Campus (TU-affiliated; UGC-approved) lets you build two teaching subjects—major and minor—along with school-based practice.
TU’s four-year B.Ed. (annual system) prepares competent teachers who can teach two subjects at the secondary level. Each student completes 22 courses across five groups: Communication Skills (A), Professional Core (B), Specialization Major (C), Specialization Minor (D), and Teaching Practice/Practicum (E).

Here’s what you’ll study over four years.
Group A (200 marks): General Nepali and General English.
Group B (400 marks): Philosophical & Sociological Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum & Evaluation, plus an ICT-focused elective.
Group C (Major — 10 courses, 1000 marks) and Group D (Minor — 5 courses, 500 marks) chosen from TU-listed areas; the minor must be different from the major.
Group E: Teaching Internship/Practicum (100 marks) in the fourth year.

Teaching combines campus coursework with school practicum. Students experience lesson planning, micro-teaching, classroom observation, and supervised teaching during the internship phase.
Applicants need Grade 12 (HSE) or PCL or equivalent; subject-wise criteria apply. For example, English requires a relevant major or minimum marks/departmental entrance; Mathematics requires at least 200 marks in Math; Science requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 100 marks each; Health & Physical Education may require a fitness test.
Secondary-level teaching in the chosen subjects, ECA coordination, remedial support, school ICT facilitation, and progression to M.Ed. or specialized certificates.
